An ordinance to prohibit the han-, ing of signs and
advertisments over and across sidewalks .
Whereas a petition was presented to the City Council sign.

to pass an ordinance prohibiting the hanging of signs and
advartiserents of over and across the sidewalks of the public

now hanging across the sidewalks be removed rtithin a reasonable
time fromand after the passage of the ordinance .
;Now, therefore be it ordained by the City Council of
the City of Fayetteville Arkansas .
G , Section I . That hereafter it shall be unlawful for any
person , firm or com?)any , to place any sign or advertise Ment either
swinging or stationary over and across any sidewalk of the public .

Section 3 . Any person, firm or company violating the
provisions of this ordinance shall be fined in any sun not

o exceeding five dollars , and each day after the expiration of the
thirty days mentioned herein , that such signs ;and advertiser ents

are maintained , shall constitute a seperate offense and this
ordinance to take effect and be in force from and after its
passage and publication .
