NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE ARKANSAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves a budget amendment in the amount of $75,000.00 to transfer funds to the fuel accounts for the City’s wastewater treatment facilities to provide additional funds for fuel for the remainder of 2026. BACKGROUND: The fuel accounts for the Noland WWTP, West Side WWTP, and the sewer lift stations have used more funding in 2026 due to increased unleaded and diesel fuel prices. Additional funding is needed to correct an overbudget, and to allow for the continued purchase of fuel for the remainder of 2026. DISCUSSION: The fuel account for Noland WWTP is currently overbudget, and the fuel accounts for West Side WWTP and the sewer lift stations do not have enough funding for the remainder of 2026. This budget amendment would restore funding in the three accounts to correct the overbudget and provide funding for fuel for the remainder of 2026. BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT: Funds are available in the Plant Pumps and Equipment account to transfer $75,000.00 into the three WWTP and sewer lift station fuel accounts. ATTACHMENTS: 3.
