NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves the request for an extension of the City’s sewage system beyond the city limits to property located at 1011 South Mally Wagnon Road upon payment of the necessary impact fees and any other costs required to make the sewer connection. Mally Wagnon Rd. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval to allow for a sewer service connection at 1011 S. Mally Wagnon Rd. with all installation and maintenance costs to be incurred by the property owner. BACKGROUND: The owner of unincorporated Washington County parcel 001-10753-000, southwest of the intersection of S. Mally Wagnon Rd. and E. Norman Murphy Rd., has requested permission to connect to City of Fayetteville sanitary sewer. The owner proposes to split the 4.2-acre parcel and construct four single-family homes, each with City of Fayetteville drinking water and wastewater services. Water and sewer capacity is available in this part of the system for this scale of development. This sewer connection request was reviewed and approved by the Water & Sewer Committee on August 11, 2026. DISCUSSION: Upon approval of this sewer connection request, the property owner would also have to pay impact fees before the City would approve the sewer tap. They would then be billed for sewer with their monthly utility bill. Staff recommends approval to allow for a sewer service connection at 1011 S. Mally Wagnon Rd. with all installation and maintenance costs to be incurred by the property owner. BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT: Upon approval of the sewer connection request, the property owner would pay the impact fees and be billed monthly for sewer on their utility bill. ATTACHMENTS: 3.
