A RESOLUTION TO DESIGNATE AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CERTAIN
DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH FUNDING ADMINISTERED BY THE ARKANSAS NATURAL
RESOURCES COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas owns and operates a water and wastewater system (the “System”) in
order to provide water and waste water service to meet the needs of the City and its inhabitants; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City and its inhabitants to apply for
assistance from the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission (the “ANRC”), in order to make certain improvements to
the System.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby designates Mayor Rawn as a Signatory
Agent, or the successor of said Agent, and is hereby authorized and directed to make application for assistance
administered by the ANRC and to execute, when approved by the City Council, a bond purchase agreement and
instruments issued or made pursuant thereto on behalf of the City from time to time.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby authorizes the Manager of the System, as
a Signatory Agent or the successor of said Agent, to execute, for and on behalf of the City, all other documents and
certificates required.

SUBJECT: Resolution designating and authorizing the Mayor to execute documents in
connection with funding administered by the Arkansas Natural Resources
Commission.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommend Council designate and authorize the Mayor to execute certain documents in connection with
applications with the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission.
BACKGROUND:
The Arkansas Natural Resources Commission requires a specific resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute
documents in connection with funding administered through that agency.
DISCUSSION:
The City of Fayetteville Water and Sewer department has identified grants that have become available through
the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission, and they would like to submit all required documentation to the
ANRC when applying. Part of that application is a resolution authorizing signatory authority to the Mayor.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
There is no budget/staff impact at this time, but there may be a future impact if the City is awarded funding
through the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission.
