RECOMMENDATION: A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF ONE PETERBILT 536 CONTAINER CARRIER IN THE AMOUNT OF $202,350.00 FROM TLG PETERBILT NORTHWEST ARKANSAS PLUS ANY APPLICABLE SURCHARGES, FREIGHT CHARGES AND DELIVERY FEES UP TO 10% OF THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE, PURSUANT TO A SOURCEWELL COOPERATIVE CONTRACT (032824-PMC).. BACKGROUND: Asset 4043 (SWST_F002) is approaching replacement eligibility based on both replacement points and accumulated utilization, with approximately 356,084 equivalent miles. While this unit is currently scheduled for replacement in FY27, Fleet recommends advancing the replacement to FY26. DISCUSSION: This recommendation is intended to avoid anticipated cost increases associated with upcoming 2027 heavy- duty emissions regulations, which are expected to increase vehicle acquisition costs beginning in FY27. Replacing the unit in FY26 provides an opportunity to secure the vehicle before these additional regulatory costs are incorporated into OEM pricing.
