A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO. 6-97 BY REQUIRING COUNCIL APPROVAL BEFORE
PURCHASING THE PARKING LOT LOCATED BETWEEN
EAST AND BLOCK STREETS FROM THE OFF-STREET
PARKING DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NO. 1.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the Section 1 of Resolution No. 6-97 is hereby amended by deleting
Section 1 of said resolution and inserting the following:
Section 1. That the City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City
Attorney to negotiate with the Off-street Parking Development District No. 1 for
the purchase of its share of the parking lot located between East and Block Streets,
for an amount not to exceed $133,500. City Council approval must be obtained
prior to entering into any contract for the purchase of said property.
