A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A BUDGET AMENDMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $24,685.83
REPRESENTING DONATION REVENUE FROM FRIENDS OF YRCC TO FUND THE 2026 PROGRAMS
OFFERED AT THE YVONNE RICHARDSON COMMUNITY CENTER
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section l: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves a budget amendment, a copy of
which is attached to this Resolution, in the amount of $24,685.83 recognizing donation revenue from Friends of YRCC
to fund the2026 programs offered at the Yvonne Richardson Community Center.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby expresses its sincere appreciation to
Friends of YRCC for the donation.

SUBJECT: FRIENDS OF YRCC ANNUAL PROGRAM DONATION
RECOMMENDATION:
A resolution to recognize and allocate donation revenue in the amount of $24,685.83 from the Friends of
YRCC to be used for the 2026 programs offered by the Yvonne Richardson Community Center, and to
approve a budget amendment.
BACKGROUND:
Friends of YRCC is a non-profit focused on supporting the mission of the YRCC by raising funds for
programming costs, which in turn, allows the YRCC to offer low cost opportunities to youth and families from
Fayetteville. This donation will cover expenses for youth and teens to participate in summer camp, afterschool
programming, holiday break programs, Kid Crops gardening, and youth sports. It also supports annual events
such as Friendsgiving and Holiday Bingo.
DISCUSSION:
Friends of YRCC continues to offer funding support to YRCC programs, as well as community outreach,
allowing for participation to take place despite financial barriers that exist among families of the Fayetteville
community. Each semester, YRCC serves nearly 45 individuals K-6th in the YRCC Afterschool program.
Additionally, YRCC serves 80 individuals each week for eight weeks in the Summer Fun 4 Kids Day Camp
program.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
$24,685.83 for 2026 programs offered by the YRCC will be added to the 2026 budget.
