AN ORDINANCE TO RE-ADOPT THE CITY’S NON-RESIDENTIAL PARKING RATIOS IN § 172.05
STANDARDS FOR THE NUMBER OF SPACES BY USE
WHEREAS, on May 6, 2025, the City Council passed Ordinance 6864 which addressed the City’s residential parking
regulations including the adoption of new parking ratios for residential uses; and
WHEREAS, when the ordinance was codified, the non-residential parking ratios were inadvertently removed from
Table 3 and need to be formally re-adopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby amends § 172.05 Standards for the
Number of Spaces by Use of the Unified Development Code by re-adopting the non-residential parking ratios in Table
3 as shown in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof.

WHEREAS, on May 6, 2025, the City Council passed Ordinance 6864 which addressed the City’s
residential parking regulations including the adoption of new parking ratios for residential uses; and
WHEREAS, when the ordinance was codified, the non-residential parking ratios were inadvertently
removed from Table 3 and need to be formally re-adopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby amends § 172.05
Standards for the Number of Spaces by Use of the Unified Development Code by re-adopting the
non-residential parking ratios in Table 3 as shown in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof.

RECOMMENDATION:
Re-adoption of the City's non-residential parking ratios which were inadvertently removed when Ordinance
6864 was codified.
BACKGROUND:
On May 6, 2025, the City Council passed Ordinance 6864 which addressed the City’s residential parking
regulations including the adoption of new parking ratios for residential uses and, when the ordinance was
codified, the non-residential parking ratios were inadvertently removed from Table 3 in Section 172.05.
DISCUSSION:
The non-residential parking ratios should be re-adopted in Table 3 of Section 172.05.
