ADJUSTMENT
WHEREAS, this new Ford Ranger will replace our old pickup truck which has a failed transmission and the price to
repair the vehicle exceeds what would be able to be obtained through surplus sale.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby authorizes the purchase of a Ford Ranger
from Randall Ford of Fort Smith, pursuant to Ordinance 6491, in the amount of $36,695.00, plus any applicable
surcharges, freight charges, and delivery fees.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves a budget adjustment, a copy of
which is attached to this Resolution.

SUBJECT: WATER SEWER WORK TRUCK ASSET REPLACEMENT THROUGH RANDALL FORD
RECOMMENDATION:
A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF A FORD RANGER THROUGH RANDALL FORD OF
FORT SMITH FOR THE PURCHASE PRICE OF $36,695 PLUS ANY ADDITIONAL FREIGHT CHARGES OR
DELIVERY FEES IN ACCORDANCE WITH ORDINANCE 6491 AND TO APPROVE A BUDGET
ADJUSTMENT.
BACKGROUND:
Asset number 1335 (WSEW_F005) has reached 14.5/15 points in our fleet management software.
DISCUSSION:
Vehicle 1335 has a failed transmission. Due to the cost for repair, Fleet Operations recommends replacement
of the unit. The price to repair 1335 exceeds what we will get through surplus.
BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT:
A budget adjustment is being presented for your approval from the fleet fund.
