Call to Order The Fayetteville Housing Authority Board of Commissioners Agenda Session was called to order on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 5pm via Zoom. II. Roll Call Present: Commissioners Moore, Humphrey, Deutsch; Executive Director Tapley; 1 member of the public Absent: Commissioners Cole, Nathan (late arrival) III. Approval of the Agenda Motion to approve: Commissioner Humphrey; Second: Commissioner Deutsch. Unanimously approved. IV. Consent Agenda Motion to approve: Commissioner Humphrey; Second: Commissioner Deutsch. Unanimously approved. V. Reports A. FHA Chair Report - Board Chair Moore attended the annual NAHRO summer conference in New York, focusing on participating in a letter writing campaign to advocate for housing. Executive Director Tapley gave a walkthrough on how to send a letter template through the NAHRO website. Commissioner Humphrey opened discussion about resident advocacy. B. Staff Reports – Executive Director Tapley attended the annual NAHRO summer conference in New York, focusing on networking with other housing professionals. She gave an update on the Safety & Security Grant work. FHA will be reporting to the HUD Field Office in Oklahoma. She gave an overview of several program reviews and progress with the forensic audit. Several staff attended a NAHRO conference for frontline staff called PHriday. The office continues to work on standard operating procedures, Morgan Manor compliance, and working with Natural State Housing. Commissioner Moore opened discussion on the Public Housing units that are currently offline. Commissioner Nathan arrived at the meeting at this time. Executive Director Tapley stressed the need for residents to contact the office with work orders and discussed the current issues with heating and cooling in Hillcrest Towers. FHA Board Procurement Training: Executive Director Tapley presented the options for Commissioners Nathan & Cole to complete the required training. VII. Final Comments & Announcements Commissioner Moore gave one final reminder for the August letter writing advocacy campaign. VIII. Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 5:40 pm.
