I’m writing to offer my support for the Bates/Siemek rezoning proposals (I believe agenda items C.1. - C.4 and D.1.). I moved to Fayetteville in November of 2024 after living n Hot Springs Ar for 60 years. I owned a successful real estate appraisal and real estate brokerage business there for almost 40 years, and have since retired. A new grandson helped us choose NWA as our new home. We wanted to live in Fayetteville because we wanted the city services and enjoyed the diversity of housing types and resources available. It took us months and months to actually find a home up here, because of the lack of available listings and when one came on the market it was snapped up quickly. Each week I read something else about the housing shortages and the desire the city has to avoid urban sprawl. I like what these developers are trying to do to creatively increase available housing and density all while making sure this city still feels as eclectic and valuable as intended. My two cents would be to allow the reasoning for Fayetteville can progressively move towards solving the housing issues. Thank you. Howard Sublett Cell: 501.622.7929 Sent from my iPhone 1
