Re: Proposed city code amendment 151.01
I support the proposed amendment 151.01 to the city code.
I believe it places appropriate conditions on the zoning and development of projects designed as
private student dormitories.
It provides for due consideration to the needs of full-time area residents of Fayetteville, with
particular emphasis on neighborhood compatibility, parking, traffic, and infrastructure.
Proximity must no longer be an overriding rationale used to impose private dorms on existing
neighborhoods or commercial districts that surround the university campus.
I urge you to to support this amendment.
