City Council Representative
The proposed Amendment increasing parking mandates will make residential development more expensive and
dedicate more land in the city to paved car storage - whether it's needed or not. Please vote NO on the proposed
changes and consider an incentive approach to the parking issue:
• Eliminate Residential Parking Minimums within the Transit Oriented Tier Centers, High Activity Corridors and the 71B
Transit Corridor.
• Maintain or intensify current Residential Parking requirements in all Residential Areas located outside the Tier
Centers, High Activity Corridors and the 71B Transit Corridor.
This incentive approach could help attract development within the City’s Transit Oriented Tier Centers, High Activity
Corridors and the 71B Transit Corridor and provide neighborhoods located outside the Growth Concept Map’s growth
areas assurances that existing parking regulations would be preserved or strengthened.
Thank you
