Attendants: Mayor Lionel Jordan, Nancy Allen, James Tolbert, Lisa Orton, Sonya Zimmer,
Will Dockery, Rick McKinney, Terry Michaels, Lucas Regnier, Alan Ostner, and Susan Norton
Mayor Jordan called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm.
1. Neighborhood Concerns
a. Break-ins
b. Thefts
c. Growing deer population
d. Building density
e. Growth of the City and University
f. Gregory Park
g. Traffic Calming
2. City Website - Susan Norton gave an overview of the city website and how to navigate it
3. Recent bond issue - first phase of $140,000,000 will start in September
4. Committee Business
a. Will Dockery unanimously elected president
b. It was decided that we would create our “purpose statement” at the next meeting
c. A representative from the police department will be invited to give us suggestions
to improve safety in our neighborhoods
d. Next meeting is scheduled for June 20th.
Mayor Jordan adjourned the meeting at 7:19
