a. The minutes are Video Archived. The committee approved the motions for the previous month's
meeting.

7. Development Projects – Willa
8. Programs-
a. Current Programs –
i. The bounty submission period is now closed. We will distribute the bounty on April
10 and 11. We need to reinvigorate this program and revisit it in June/July
ii. EAB is ongoing – The Draft plan is ready after May 1st.
1. Release Date on this. The maps are ready now.
iii. The Food Foraging Map is an ongoing project; a press release will follow after May
1st.
iv. Amazing Tree- Winner is Green Ash at Walker Park!
1. Plaque is ordered
2. The ceremony is on April 25th, at 6 pm, at Walker Park,

3. 341 Votes, Green Ash winner, Post Oak at Smokehouse, Bois D’Arc at
Greathouse Park, Red Oak at Sweetbriar, and Sugarberry at Clabber Creek.
v. Washington Elementary Tree Planting- Planted 4 trees
vi. McNair and Advanced AP Science class project update – Planted 7 trees
vii. Hiking with science classes and FHS update. – I hiked with 3 classes from the SOAR
school around the Owl Creek campus.

i. Sat- Tree Giveaway Update
ii. Sunday - Scavenger Hunt Update – We need to schedule the next meeting.
iii. Monday - Tree Price Tag Update - We have a follow-up meeting on this on the 13th.

vi. Thursday- Arbor Day – Amazing Tree Update
vii. Friday – Community Forestry Program – Free Tree Friday

9. 2025 Projects- Spring
a. Donation Trees – As part of the Washington Elementary School planting, donation trees
were included.
b. Niokaska Creek planting project -Completed, added 100 trees to the area
10. Educational Mulch Program - Update and Suggestions.
11. 2025 Projects- Fall
a. Celebration of Trees- No updates
b. POA Neighborhood Planting
