HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 6849113 West Mountain Street Fayetteville, AR 72701 (479) 575-8323 Ordinance: 6849 File Number: 2025-154 ORDINANCE §114.02 - FARMER'S MARKET (AMENDMENT): AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND § 114.02 FARMER'S MARKET TO ENACT A NEW (K) SERVICES THAT WOULD BE OF BENEFIT AS A COMPLEMENT FOR THE FARMER'S MARKET AND (L) PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS WHEREAS, the Fayetteville Farmer's Market has operated successfully on the Fayetteville Square for half a century; and WHEREAS, the products and goods sold at the Fayetteville Farmer's Market must be grown or produced by the vendor thereof and is further limited by § 114.02 (D) Articles Permitted To Be Sold; and WHEREAS, personal care products and services that would be of benefit as a complement for the Fayetteville Farmer's Market should be allowed by city ordinance to be provided at the Fayetteville Farmer's Market if the Rural Mountain Producer Exchange Board approves such products and services as beneficial to its members and patrons. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby amends § 114.02 Farmer's Market be enacting a new (K) Services that would be of benefit as a complement for the Farmer's Market as follows: "(K) Services that would be of benefit as a complement for the Farmer's Market. Services that would be of benefit as a complement for the Farmer's Market are allowed if approved by Rural Mountain Producer Exchange Board." Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby amends § 114.02 Farmer's Market be enacting a new (L) Personal care products as follows: "(L) Personal care products. Personal care products including soaps and lotions handcrafted by local artisans may be offered for sale."
