NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby authorizes the purchase of a Tandem Axle Trailers from Premier Trailer Sales, LLC of Fayetteville, in the amount of $15,840.00, plus any applicable freight charges and taxes up to 10% of the original purchase price. Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves a budget adjustment, a copy of which is attached to this Resolution. BACKGROUND: This trailer has reached replacement, and Fleet will be proceeding with a like replacement of this unit. DISCUSSION: Due to the cost to repair this unit, it is more economical to replace then to repair. BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT: This is an unplanned replacement that will require the approval of the attached budget adjustment. Fleet Operations expects the shortfall in collections will be made up with the surplus of the old unit. This unit was unanimously approved at the January 14th Equipment Committee meeting.
