POSSIBLE CHANGES TO PROVIDE THE CITY AND CITIZENS USE OF THE PORTER WAREHOUSE
(RESOLUTION):
A RESOLUTION TO REQUEST THAT MAYOR RAWN DISCUSS WITH THE WALTON ARTS CENTER
POSSIBLE CHANGES TO THE LONG-TERM LEASE TO PROVIDE THE CITY AND CITIZENS SOME USE OF
THE PORTER WAREHOUSE
WHEREAS, the City of Fayetteville has invested substantial sums to preserve and improve the Porter Warehouse in
the last few years; and
WHEREAS, the Porter Warehouse has now been rehabilitated and restored sufficiently to allow its use for citizens and
artists.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby requests that Mayor Rawn discuss with
the Walton Arts Center what uses that the City could offer to its citizens and artists in the Porter Warehouse and
whether the long-term lease should be amended to help the City provide such services and access.

BACKGROUND:
The City of Fayetteville has invested substantial sums to preserve and improve the Porter Warehouse in the
last few years. The Porter Warehouse has now been rehabilitated and restored sufficiently to allow its use for
citizens and artists.
