Dear Council Members, First of all, I want to express my gratitude to Council Members Turk and Weiderkeher for proposing to amend the ordinance to the parking reduction for residential use. I live at 11, West South Street. Although it is too late for this amendment to improve the parking situation created in my neighborhood by the construction of the Urban Lofts project, it will have a great impact on the future development projects in Fayetteville. Requiring developers to provide adequate parking to the residents is common sense; everyone should have the right to park in front of their residences, whether they live in a home or in an apartment. The 1 car per bedroom requirement has been the national standard for decades and we need to go back to it to protect the quality of life of existing and future neighborhoods. II strongly support this amendment and ask that you do as well. Sincerely, Louise Rozier Get Outlook for iOS 1
