HomeMy WebLinkAbout2024-11-14 - Minutes -Meeting Minutes BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS AGENDA SESSION – NOVEMBER 14, 2024, 5:00 PM I. Call to Order: The Fayetteville Housing Authority Board of Commissioners Agenda Session was called to order on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 5pm via Zoom. II. Roll Call Commissioners Humphrey, Woods, Cole, and Terry were present, forming quorum. Executive Director Tapley and Director of Programs West were also present. Commissioner Moore was absent. III. Approval of the Agenda Unanimously approved as presented IV. Action Items A. In-person board meeting: Executive Director Tapley stated that the regular November meeting will be held next Thursday, November 21, 5 pm – 7 pm as a hybrid session at the Fayetteville Police Department Community Meeting room. A zoom link will be available for livestreaming and recording. B. Resolution 1327: Approve RFP for Forensic Audit: Executive Director Tapley presented the Request for Proposal for Forensic Audit as mandated by HUD’s compliance review. Resident Commissioner Humphrey noted that it was very informative. A motion was made to approve the resolution as presented. The motion was seconded and unanimously approved. C. Discussion - Board Commissioner Selection: Executive Director Tapley and Chair Terry reviewed the selection process and noted upcoming openings. There was discussion as to when to review the applications. D. Resolution 1332: Abatement of 6 Units: 6 offline units at Willow Heights require asbestos abatement. Executive Director Tapley shared the three quotes given and is requesting approval to award the contract. Resident Commissioner Humphrey requested pulling up the winning proposal. She asked about the difference between this bid and the other two regarding services provided. Chair Terry asked about rebuilding the units after abatement. Final Comments & Announcements: On November 21st, a local church will be delivering a holiday meal to Hillcrest residents. Chair Terry requested a list of upcoming holiday events for the community. Resident Commissioner Humphrey thanked the Executive Director for meeting with Hillcrest Towers residents and speaking with them. VI. Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 5:31 pm.
