Call to Order and Roll Call (6:16)
• The meeting was called to order by Chloe Bell.
• Roll call was taken. Emily Miller, Amanda Reyer, Jessica Debari and Lara Hightower
were absent.
Approval of Meeting Agenda (6:16)
• Motion to approve agenda by Chloe Bell, approved
Approval of the April 17 Minutes (6:16)
• The August 21st minutes were reviewed and approved.
Work Plan Report—Joanna Bell (6:07)
• Joanna Bell updated the council on Weekend Starts continuation until October. This
programming will conclude with the Phantasma laser light show.
• The City Council’s resolution for the Community Art Wall if for it exist indefinitely as a pilot
project.
• Joanna Bell presented the results of the new summer programming of Movies in the park
that saw the first programming on the West side town.
• The two showings in Bryce Davis parked reportedly had better attendance than
in walker.
• Joanna Bell updated the council on the delay of Upper Ramble photography call.
• Joanna Bell informed the council that the Red Ball project had estimated 2500 people in
attendance
Arts and Culture plan update—Joanna Bell (6:18)
• Joanna Bell informed the council that the Arts and Culture Plan draft findings are ready
for review by Arts Council
• The Council will meet on Tuesday September 24th at 3pm to review with
consultants Jill Stillwell and Kendall Peterson
Proposal Reviews/Discussion: (6:19)
• Joanna Bell informed the council of the Kilo family donation could be located off the
trail adjacent to the Upper Ramble by the Powerhouse alley.
• The council will know for the next meeting if the land proposed will be usable
• The Wilson Park Tennis Court Backboard is proposed to be the site of Olivia Trimble
Ozark Barn Quilt mural.
• It would be mural with about a 5 year life span.
• The council was informed a new mural wall on the 100 W. Rock St City Annex build for
Parks, Natural resources, and Cultural Affairs.
• Notes from the Field/Opportunities/Current Calls for Artists (6:30)
• Joanna Bell informed the council on a scholarship for young artist from Cane Hill
• The Arkansas Arts Council Fellowship winners contained four Fayetteville based artists.
• Other Business and Public Comment
• There were no attendees for public comment. The meeting was adjourned by Chloe
Bell at 6:34
