Dear Council Members
I am writing with regard to the rezoning request for the Missionary Baptist Church on
Township (RZN-2024-0040 2400 E Township).
Recently, I saw that the Missionary Baptist Church on Township is for sale. I have since
heard that there is a chance that a restaurant, cafe, or other community-type business
might wish to open there, which would be great! I have long bemoaned the absence of
any type of place to have a bite to eat or have a drink in the vicinity of Gulley Park. We
use the park frequently and have witnessed a tremendous increase in use of the park by
a great cross section of the population. Many would welcome a destination as described
above.
In short, I wholeheartedly support rezoning that would enable someone to offer such an
establishment.
