September 2024 Equipment Committee
Unit 1317 currently has 11.6 points in Faster our Fleet Management Software. This Chevrolet Traverse has began to have a slipping transmission. We
diagnosed it to verify there was not going to be a simple repair to the valve body or sensor inputs and verified there are clutch packs slipping internally.
The Water Sewer Department would like to upgrade this small FWD SUV to a F150 Hybrid 4x4 for use offroad when inspecting repairs and supervising
repair crews. The Water Sewer Department will be paying the difference of what has been collected towards 1317 and the cost of the upgraded unit.
Unit 9255 has reached 15 points and is no longer capable of front line service for the Water Sewer Department. Due to the evolution of equipment size
and weight this trailer will need to be upgraded to a larger axle and suspension to haul their repair equipment and off road assets. The Water Sewer
Department will be paying the difference of what has been collected towards 9255 and the cost of the upgraded unit.
