Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves a budget adjustment, a copy of which is attached to this Resolution. BACKGROUND: Unit 2230, WSEW_F002 is a meter truck for Water and Sewer that has started to experience engine issues. DISCUSSION: Unit 2230, WSEW_F002 has hydraulic lifter ticks indicating excessive wear on the engines' hydraulic valvetrain. The unit is no longer capable of front-line service. BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT: This unit was not budgeted for replacement until 2025. However, moving this replacement up is the most cost- effective approach at this time. A budget adjustment is being submitted to utilize the Fleet's fund balance for this purchase. This unit was unanimously approved at the July 9th Equipment Committee.
