BACKGROUND: 12/5/17 Resolution 258-17 recognized a Grant from Walton Family Foundation in the amount of 1.77 million to be allocated for Landscape Architectural Design Services for the Arts Corridor Project. 6/19/18 Resolution 138-18 authorized a contract with Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects for Schematic Design of the Arts Corridor Project/Upper and Lower Ramble. 10-1-19 Resolution 228-19 authorized an amendment for Construction Drawings and Construction Administration on the Lower Ramble/Greenway/Fay Jones Woods/West Ave. Streetscape. 5-17-22 Resolution 123-22 authorized an amendment for Construction Drawings and Construction Administration on the Upper Ramble/Plaza. DISCUSSION: This amendment includes additional Architectural consulting services for the Greenway Trail design at the South Hotel Property, Art/Play feature design and infrastructure in the Plaza, and consulting on an RFP for future Artwork in the Upper Ramble/Plaza. Also, approval of a Budget Adjustment to recognize Interest Accrued on the Bond Funds to be allocated for this amendment, Art/Play feature component, future art work, and adding back Value Engineering Items omitted at the start of the project including furniture, signage, decorative concrete and additional power pedestals. This shall confirm our understanding and constitute our Agreement ("Agreement") that Olsson Engineering, Inc. Four (4) Months -August — November 2024 NBW Scope • Develop a narrative describing the design aesthetic for the entire project and how the art element might interact with the overall design of the Upper Ramble • Create a narrative around the nature of the space for the artist's consideration, including: - Anticipated activity and nature of active uses of the specific site and the public space - Visibility guidelines - Safety and site distances • Provide detailed site maps, topographical information, rendering examples of the larger project and any relevant site -specific details of the proposed site for the interactive art installation, considering existing conditions, environmental factors, and spatial constraints • Provide technical drawings and specifications related to site preparation and any known installation requirements/logistics • Provide guidance on art siting • Review submittals for compliance with provided narrative NBW Deliverables • Narrative and associated exhibits NBW Meetings, Site Visits and Presentations • Up to two (2) online meetings to review artist proposals to evaluate for compliance with narrative NBW Exclusions • NBW will not provide Construction Contract Administration services, including reviews of RFls and Submittals.
