City Council Members,
Hello, my name is Glenn Garrison. I reside at 2868 N Rom Orchard
Road. I am OPPOSED to the proposed rezoning of 3179 N. Old Wire
Road (RZN-2024-0029)
Reasons for opposing:
1. Safety/Traffic- there is not one sidewalk north of Mission Blvd/all
the way to Joyce Blvd and anywhere along Old Wire/Skillern
Bridgewater. Already not safe to walk/bike or jog in this entire
area
2. Utilities- we do not have updated nor adequate utility service to
handle the existing neighborhoods. Fact: Here are the recent
outages that affected our area just in the last few months: Water
service (June 11-outage, June 28-outage, August 5th-low pressure
due to repairs on Old Wire) Electric service June 16-outage, July
7th-outage. And just read the recent water shortage concerns and
details of the urgent problems faced in this area given insufficient
pumps, etc
3. This density of neighborhood is not fitting of the development in
the surrounding area - Per sentiments shared by the City Planning
Commission members in the last meeting where this rezone was
voted down, this high density proposed development is not fitting
of any remotely nearby neighborhoods.
Given the reasons above and so many more that others have shared it
would be irresponsible to allow this rezoning to move forward.

Thank you for fielding the community members’ feedback and I plea
with you all to not allow this rezoning to take place.
Regards,
Glenn
