To Whom it May Concern,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to share my concerns regarding the
proposed rezoning of the property at 3179 N Old Wire Rd, Fayetteville, AR 72703.
This property is currently zoned as Residential Agricultural (RA), and I strongly
believe it should remain zoned the way it is currently.
Our current road simply cannot support a development of this scale. While I
recognize the importance of growth and progress, it must be done responsibly and
thoughtfully. Our beautiful city of Fayetteville has been growing rapidly, and
unfortunately, our infrastructure has its opportunities. Rezoning to allow for eight
homes per acre will only put more strain on our already overburdened roads,
particularly on Old Wire Rd and its connecting streets. The amount of investment
in the development from the city could be significant. Old Wire Road would have
to be expanded and widen for entry, a light would have to be put in place at the
current stop sign on Old Wire as it intersects Skillern road, and it would be
impossible to exit onto HWY 265 without a significant wait.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my concerns. I believe that keeping this
property zoned as RA is in the best interest of our community.
