City Staff: John Scott, Urban Forester; Melissa Evans, Urban Forester 1. Call to Order: a. Roll Call 2. Approval of Meeting Minutes—The minutes are Video Archived. The committee approved the motions for the previous month's meeting. i. Woody Plant of the Month 1. August – Nathan 2. September- Jim 3. October- 4. November- 5. December- 3. Urban Forestry Management Plan Status and Discussion—Timeline, EAC Board, City Council Members a. Struggling to get this document clean and edited. b. Present to Council members c. Had to delay September 17 City Council 4. Development Projects – a. b. 5. Programs- a. Summer Programs- i. Recommended tree list- Update from John b. Fall Programs- i. POA tree plantings – Nothing new ii. Celebration of trees – Tree list that I am putting out to bid iii. Symbols Day - Set up on Friday, October 11. 800 participants. 6. Code Changes – Follow Up and New status on changing Minimum sized lots. Melissa a. To Hit minimums – None yet b. Add Tree Preservation to the 1200-6000 sf rules – Plan Passed through Planning Commission and is on its way to City Council c. Construction fines – Nothing new 2 7. 2024 Projects- Fall a. Site- Working on Plan. i. Greathouse Park Parking lot -Plans are done ii. Willow Street South of MLK- I made the plans but found out ATT and ran cables in the green space. It is a long shot but I am trying to get them to move the cable lines. iii. Shiloh and W. Point St iv. Hollywood and Parnell/ There are too many utilities to work on this project, I am adding trees to the Fire Station 6. v. Carriage Way vi. Mtn. Ranch Green Space b. Pilot program- HOA -Fall c. Donation Trees: I have five donation trees that need to be planted in the fall. i. Some at Washington Elementary have died already. Adjourn:
