Subject:Rezoning request RZN-2024-0018 at today's meeting
CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the City of Faye?eville. Do not click links or open a?achments unless you

My name is Pa?y Besom, and I live at 15 N. West Avenue. I want to protest this zoning change unless an addi?on is
made to the Bill of Assurance. The amplified outdoor music at area restaurants and bars, whether alive or recorded, that
is allowable in MSC is extremely loud. I know: My property is zoned MSC. The music is loud to the point of degrading
the quality of life for residents. Customers can come and go, but we who live here some?mes have to shut ourselves
inside our homes to close out the noise, even though it might originate over two blocks away. Our noise ordinance is so
tolerant that if does not provide enough relief.
The Bill of Assurance which is a part of this request no?ceable fails to put restric?ons on restaurants, bars, or specially
built venues which might provide amplified music, whether live or recorded, for paying customers. I request that if this
zoning request is approved, that such restric?ons be required.
Sincerely,
Pa?y Besom
