Serco Business Whom it concern, I am writing you in regards of new housing project near the university. As I live in Fayetteville, AR for 3+ years and experience a $300 increase this August for 1 bedroom in a 4-bedroom apartment, I am outraged About what this city council is thinking or doing for other people besides Students. We work and cater her to them students right and left, what is getting ridiculous! Myself, I have to work for 4 companies just to make ends meet, not everyone has rich parents and can a?ord this rent prices! Dear Council, you need to reconsider your decision and deny this project! This housing needs to stay it helps family and single with low income. What you need to do instead ,stop people from out of State to buy all the properties and turn them into high end vacation homes! The same with bed and breakfast places it is ridiculous that new houses are just run as that , we do have enough hotels and they are struggling to survive. Why don’t you make it that every big company from Walgreens, Lowe, CVS, Walmart and other have to have 1 or 2 layers of apartments on top of each other. This would help rent prices and there would not be any more parking needed as it is there already. It is a shame to say I love Fayetteville 4 years ago when I moved here but now, I am ashamed to say I live in this area, this whole area is falling to the greed of big investors and not thinking about people working here. There are other options to full fill the needs, built tiny house areas stop destroying nature and low-income housing for the rich! Stop the number of students coming this town is not made for it! Stop building wide, built up but not more then 3-4 layers either stop destroying what makes Fayetteville- Fayetteville! It is a shame to see what you are doing to this wonderful town over money.
