3. Approval of Minutes – Zabecki made motion for approval, Davis to second, approved by
all. PNRCAAB Motion 8-0-0.
4. Summer Recreation Report: Dean Rawlings and Mark Banks-May, Recreation
Program Managers – Staff Mark May to give overview of summer camp offerings, growth
from last year, shifts in programming based on need because of growth. Staff Dean
Rawlings to give update on aquatics, growth from last year, new pool sponsor, new
scholarship opportunity for swim lessons. Staff to answer questions from the board.
*Davis to make motion to adjust agenda moving OORC update in front of Parkland
Dedication. Vranovci to second. PNRCAAB Motion: 8-0-0.

8. OORC RTP Lake Fayetteville Grant Application Update – Rob Reno, OORC – Reno to
communicate potential grant affecting soft surface trails at Lake Fayetteville. Proposed
changes would make trails wider, adaptive mountain bike accessible, beginner friendly,
add new signage, a pump track, and fix erosion issues.
PNRCAAB Motion: Davis to made motion for approval, Vranovci to second. 7-0-0.
9. Land Acquisition Matrix: Ted Jack – Jack presented Park Land Acquisition Matrix,
developed by staff and board members Dockery, Walsh, Brink and Jack, with the intent to
use matrix to grade potential land acquisition by priority using new matrix. Edits were
proposed and discussed amongst board members.
PNRCAAB Motion: Sheely made motion to approve with accepted edits, seconded by
Walsh. Motion: 8-0-0.
10. Annual Report Approval: Alison Jumper – Davis made motion to approve with an edit
recommendation by Dockery, Sheely to second. Motion: 8-0-0.
11. Active Transportation Advisory Committee Update: Yarri Davis – Davis to report
three new full-time trails, police accident reports on the trails added for review by
committee, reviewed concept plans to the Drake St. trail connection and made an approval
recommendation.
12. Botanical Garden Report: Elizabeth Cunningham – n/a
13. Friend of Parks Report: Steve Sheely – Sheely gave first FOFP presentation to local
rotary club, working on website and new logo, and identifying events to set up a presence
to promote FOFP, as well as fine tune major donor strategy.
14. Land Acquisition Committee Report: Will Dockery – Been working on Land Acquisition
Matrix, which is complete.
15. Arts Council Report: Sarah Downing – Weekend Starts has kicked off and will run from
April through October, muralist selected for Nelson Hackett mural wall, new call for artist

for mural at YRCC announced, Council completing research phase of Arts and Culture
plan.
16. Recognize PLD NE Quadrant Funds for Gulley Park: Ted Jack –
17. Signs & Donor Ordinances Review Subcommittee – New subcommittee to be added to
June agenda.
18. Project and HMR Update; Ted Jack – Jack to give project, construction, and HMR
updates.
