Airport Board Minutes
April 18th, 2024

ITEM # 1: Approval of the Airport Board Minutes for February 15th, 2024.
A motion to approve the February 15th, 2024 was made by John Holley.
Monty Roberts seconded the motion. The motion carried.
ITEM #2: New Business:
• 2023 Financial Overview- Paul Becker- See attached document.
Zane Chenault requested a revenue/expense analysis report for 2020-2024. Paul Becker stated he
will get the report to the board.
• Airport Logo Discussion- Jared Rabren
Jared Rabren stated that the airport is trying to improve the identity of the airport by updating the
current logo. There were several options shown. The board expressed interest in further exploring
the relationship between “Drake Field” and “Fayetteville Executive” to see which was more
appropriate. John Holley suggested “Fayetteville Gateway Airport”.
• Introduction to T-Hangar rate study
Jared Rabren stated that a rate study will be conducted by doing an in depth survey of other airports
that are comparable to Drake Field. The board was asked to identify what makes the hangars at
Drake Field different from surrounding areas.
ITEM #3: Receiving of Reports :
DIRECTOR’S REPORT:
• FUEL FARM REHABILITATION PROJECT: Work began March 25th and is currently on schedule.
• AIRPORT MASTER PLAN UPDATE: The Master Plan Steering Committee met on April 3rd to discuss the
team’s initial findings. The committee will now begin meeting roughly once a month to monitor and
discuss progress with the Master Plan updates.
• TAXIWAY ECHO EXTENSION: The Environmental Assessment is being finalized but has not yet been
released.
MUSEUM REPORT:
• Rick McKinney reported the Museum will host a car show on May 18th.
• There are several camps scheduled for the summer.
• The Young Eagles will be here on June 8th.
