Dear Council Members,
I have voiced my opinion through Facebook Messenger to City Council members who are
part of my social media FB family.
With all due respect, it is my opinion that Sarah Moore's representation of a Pro-
Palestinian group, brought forth as a resolution; is not the business of the City of
Fayetteville.
Many Americans are misguided in their perspectives of this issue. Chanting "From the
River to the Sea" has a very tainted and long history that has been classified as "hate"
speech.
I don't advertise my Judaism and I am not a Zionist. I grew up in the 1960's north of
Detroit, Michigan and was raised to love all people. I watched the riots during the Civil
Rights movement when Detroit was destroyed. I wore a missing in action bracelet when
a classmate friend lost her father during the Viet Nam war.
I disagree with the Israeli government and the Pro-Palestinian groups that are asking for
a cease fire. I feel a public discussion MAY cause civil unrest.
I will not be present to speak at the meeting but wanted to share my opinion.
I would be happy to discuss a resolution to not build in floodplains, support the Enduring
Green Network, change our zoning, and other important CITY issues.
Kind Regards,
Lisa R. Valentine
