*Public comment at a Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force Control Board
meeting shall be allowed for all members of the audience who have signed up
prior to the beginning of the agenda item they wish to address. Speakers shall
be limited to a maximum of five (5) minutes. The Fourth Judicial District Drug
Task Force Control Board may allow a speaker additional time or may allow an
unsigned -up person to speak by unanimous consent or majority vote.

MEETING
March 27, 2024
MINUTES
The Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force Control Board meeting was held on March 27, 2024.
Those present were:

Jay Cantrell, Sheriff- Washington County Sheriffs Office
Chris Workman, Chief- Prairie Grove Police Department
Frank Gamble, Chief- Springdale Police Department
Tim Franklin, Lieutenant- Fayetteville Police Department
Willie Newman, Fiscal Director- Fayetteville Police Department
Brad Renfro, Deputy Chief- Fayetteville Police Department
Greg Tabor, Chief Deputy- Washington County Sheriffs Office
Sam Martin, Law Enforcement Legal Advisor- Washington County Sheriff's Office
Guest: Members of the public.
Chief Mike Reynolds called the meeting to order. Upon roll call, the above -listed members were acknowledged
as present. Copies of the minutes from the February 21, 2024, meeting were distributed to all present. Sheriff
Jay Cantrell made a motion, seconded by Chief Chris Workman, to approve the minutes. The motion was
approved unanimously.
A copy of the financial report for the Grant FY2023-2024 was distributed to all present for review, the period
ending January 31, 2024. Willie Newman stated the total expense to date was $513,091.00 which included
State Set Aside $56,559.00, State Drug Fund (3rd QTR) $56,559.00, State Drug Fund (2"d QTR) $56,559.00 Local
match of the State Set Aside $25,099.00, Local Match of the Drug Fund $20,360.00, and Non -Allowed
$297,957.00.
Lieutenant Tim Franklin reported on the task force's activity from February 1, 2024, through February 29, 2024,
and he distributed a copy of statistics to all present. Franklin stated that in February the task force opened 32
cases, closed 22 cases, and made 18 arrests. Franklin further noted that $3,210.00 was expended for the
purchase of evidence and $100.00 for the purchase of information. Franklin stated that drugs seized during the
month included: methamphetamine, marijuana, cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, heroin, fentanyl, and
pharmaceuticals. Franklin stated that 5 warrants were served. Also noted, were 7 drug convictions for
February. The task force seized no U.S. currency during the month. The locations of DTF Enforcement Action
for the month were Fayetteville 16 cases, Springdale 9 cases, West Fork 1 case, Tontitown 1 case, Farmington 3
cases, and Washington County 2 cases.
OTHER BUSINESS
No further business was brought before the board.
PUBLIC COMMENT
No comments from the public.
Chief Mike Reynolds requested a date and time for the next meeting. The next meeting will be on April 17,
2024, at 1:30 P.M., Washington County Sheriffs Office, 1155 Clydesdale Drive, Fayetteville, AR., Arkansas. The
meeting was adjourned with a motion made by Chief Chris Workman, seconded by Sheriff Jay Cantrell.
