Call to Order and Roll Call (6:00) • The meeting was called to order by Chloe Bell. • Roll call confirmed attendance. Lara Hightower was absent. 2. Approval of Meeting Agenda (6:02) • The agenda for the meeting was approved following a motion by Bob Stafford and seconded by Chloe Bell. 3. Approval of the Nov 15 Minutes (6:04) • The minutes from the November 15 meeting were approved, initiated by Chloe Bell and supported by Bob Stafford. 4. Election of 2024 Officers • Chloe Bell was nominated for chair, with nominations facilitated by Bob Stafford and seconded by Emily Miller. Chloe Bell was approved as chair. • Emily Miller was nominated and approved as vice chair, nominated by Chloe Bell and seconded by Bob Stafford. 5. Work Plan Report—Joanna Bell (6:15) • 2023 Recap: Joanna highlighted over 70 activations, engagement with 7500 citizens, support for 200 artists, purchase of sculptures, and various community arts initiatives. • 2024 Work Plan: Plans include sustaining the arts program, public art activations, community investment programming, and initiating public art commissions. 2 6. Proposal Reviews/Discussion (6:30) • Arts and Culture Plan Update and Planning Exercise presented by Jill Stillwell and Kendall Peterson. Discussion emphasized community engagement, preserving arts and culture, and strategic planning for arts integration into city planning. 7. Notes from the Field/Opportunities/Current Calls for Artists (7:15) • Open discussion on upcoming opportunities, current calls for artists, and community events supporting the arts. 8. Other Business and Public Comment (7:20) • The floor was opened for other business and public comments, where community members and council members discussed various topics related to arts and culture in Fayetteville. 9. Adjournment • The meeting was adjourned with plans to continue fostering the arts and culture within Fayetteville through various initiatives and programs discussed. Adjournment Time: 7:30
