BACKGROUND: Unit 6028 is a 2018 Caterpillar 930 Wheel Loader with a current FASTER score of 14.3. DISCUSSION: This unit operates in the Recycling and Trash Collection transfer station. Both the Fleet Division and RTC are recommending the upgrade of this unit to a CAT 938 with the additional Waste Package for refuse handling to better serve the City and the division. BUDGET/STAFF IMPACT: This unit was unanimously approved at the January 9th Equipment Committee. A budget adjustment is being presented for your approval.
