Approval of Meeting Agenda (6:05 PM) • Agenda reviewed by all present. • Motion to approve by Abigail Hill. Seconded by Lakeisha Edwards. Motion passed unanimously. Approval of September 20 and Sept 29 Minutes (6:08 PM) • September 29 minutes approved; September 20 minutes to be reviewed in the next meeting due to an attachment oversight by Joanna Bell. Mountain Street www.fayetteville-ar.gov Fayetteville, AR 72701 Proposal Reviews/Discussion: • Arts and Culture Plan Update —Joanna Bell (6:10 PM) • The selection committee finalized a choice for contracting out of six submitted proposals. • The contract is proceeding to city council, with details remaining confidential until public agenda publication. Work Plan Report — Joanna Bell (6:13 PM) • Updates on various projects: • Weekend Starts - wrapping up with final events aligned with local festivals. • Community Art Wall - artist contracting underway with a launch scheduled for November 18. • Wilson Park Hub - collaboration with T. T. Smith for installation mid - November. • YRCC Mural Project - bids received for a start in November. • Holiday Projection Activation - technical preparations for December display. Notes from the Field/Opportunities/Current Calls for Artists (6:20 PM) • AEP6 Results shared by Joanna Bell from Americans For the Arts, highlighting the economic impact of the arts in Northwest Arkansas and statewide, with robust discussion on the implications and insights from the study. Other Business and Public Comment (6:30 PM) There is an open call for artists by Interform for various roles in the upcoming fashion week. • Kansas Creative Arts Industry Commission's open call for artists for touring in Kansas discussed. • Upcoming artist workshop announcement by a council member for a musical project. • Discussion on the growth of the arts sector and related statistics.
