RESOLUTION NO. 35-88
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE A MODIFICATION TO THE
CONTRACT WITH THE CITY OF GREENLAND FOR FIRE
PROTECTION SERVICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute a modification to the contract with the City
of Greenland for fire protection service. A copy of the contract
authorized for execution hereby is attached hereto marked Exhibit
"A" and made a part hereof.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 17th day of May , 1988 .

MODIFICATION OF CONTRACT
This AGREEMENT made this 16th day of June , 1988 ,
by and between the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, hereinafter
called "Fayetteville" and the City of Greenland, hereinafter
called "Greenland" .
WHEREAS, the parties hereto have entered into a fire
protection contract dated August 20 , 1981 , which agreement, as
heretofore modified, is incorporated herein by reference thereto;
and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to extend and modify said
contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties mutually agree as follows:
1 . The aforesaid contract is hereby extended through May
31, 1989; provided, Greenland may terminate said contract at
the end of any quarter ( September 1, December 1 , March 1) prior to
the expiration date hereof (May 31, 1989) by giving Fayetteville
fifteen ( 15 ) days advance written notice of termination. Said
notice shall be sent to: Fayetteville City Manager

2 . Paragraph 3 of said contract is modified to read as
