Meeting of the Historic District Commission
September 14, 2023 5:30 PM

NOTE: The September 14, 2023 Historic District Commission meeting was held in person
and online, with commissioners attending in person and online. Staff were present in
person.
Members: Christine Myres — Chair, Meredith Mahan — Vice Chair, Alex Lee, Mark Harper,
Joann Goodley, Tommie Flowers Davis, Julie Preddy
City Staff: Sherry Griffith — Long Range & Preservation Planner, Britin Bostick - Long Range
Planning & Special Projects Manager
Call to Order: The commissioners met but did not conduct business due to lack of quorum.
The meeting began at 5:34 PM.
In Attendance: Meredith Mahan, Julie Preddy, Tommie Flowers Davis, Britin Bostick, Sherry
Griffith, and Emily Reed with Stantec.
The meeting was not called to order and no action taken as a quorum of
commissioners was not present. The Commissioners present did receive information
from Sandy Shannon with Stantec Consulting Services about the University Heights
and Haskell Heights historic context statement. Britin Bostick provided some progress
updates on historical marker pricing and web page revisions. The September agenda
items will be moved to the October meeting.
