10. Active Transportation Advisory Committee Update: Yarri Davis
Davis reported ATAC looking to add more equitable trails in Fayetteville.
11. Botanical Garden Society of the Ozarks Update: Joel Freund
Freund reported that Chef in the Gardens concluded and had good attendance.
12. Project Update: Ted Jack, Planning Superintendent
• Jack reported on Bryce Davis Master Plan. Prioritized items from the public
survey included:
1. Add a trail around the lake
2. Enhance the playground
3. Enhance walking/jogging trails
4. Enhance the dog park
5. Add a splash pad
6. Add a restroom on the west side
7. Add more trees
8. Add more lighting
9. Enlarge/Enhance the lake
10. Add soft surface trails
11. Add pickleball courts
12. Add more benches.
• Underwood Park Master Plan is finalizing the draft plan. Once final there will be
another public meeting.
• Walker Park Master Plan is finalizing the draft plan. The public survey is open
until June 17tn
• Saddle Up trail is near completion.
• Wilson Park Promenade is near completion.
• Wilson Park Hub construction is occurring.
• Lake Fayetteville Softball Complex is out to bid. Construction is expected to start
in July.
Sheely suggested we add Subcommittees to future agendas and reported that the
Friends of PRAB met with Stacy Keenan with the Fayetteville Community Foundation.
The current funding for the Friends of PRAB Charitable Fund has approximately $5,000.
Discussed goals are fundraising for Community Parks, allocating funds for land
acquisition, and a financial assistance program for underprivileged families to participate
in recreational programs.
Dockery reported that the Land Acquisition Committee reviewed potential land parcels.
13. Review of HMR Report: Ted Jack, Planning Superintendent
Jack reported the HMR for April was $388,069 and is up 17 %.
