PRAB Motion: Sheely moved to approve the June minutes. Brink Seconded the
motion.
6. Fayetteville Youth Baseball Report, Michael Ferguson
Ferguson presented that 870 kids participated in the spring league, which had 83 teams
ranging from 4-15 years old. This included 39 girls.
FYB hosted 13 Tournaments, which had teams from all across our region. The board is
evaluating the number of tournaments for future years because these tournaments are
taking availability for league practice times.
Ferguson stated that fall registration is open and they are expecting over 600 players for
this fall season.
Ferguson also presented that FYB made several contributions this year, including turf
mounds, home plate at White River Baseball Complex, and a new audio system at
Kessler. The total cost for this was approximately $30,000.

10. Botanical Garden Society of the Ozarks Update: Joel Freund
Freund mentioned that there is a volunteer appreciation event in a couple of weeks.
Firefly Festival will be on July 15.
11. Friend of Parks Committee Report: Steve Sheely
Sheely reported that the committee meet and established goals:
• Provide scholarships so all children in Fayetteville can participate in recreation
programs.
• Raise funds to purchase land for park expansion
• Raise funds for capital improvements, focusing on Community Parks
• Increase advocacy, ownership, involvement, and volunteerism across our park
system.
• Facilitate support organizations for Neighborhood Parks
Sheely also stated that the committee is researching becoming a 501c3.
12. Land Acquisition Committee Report: Will Dockery
Dockery noted the subcommittee met and is working, but not much to report at this time.
13. Project Update: Ted Jack, Planning Superintendent
Jumper presented in Jack’s absence:
• Walker Park Master Plan will have a public meeting on July 14
• Lake Fayetteville Softball Renovations are scheduled to start in the next few
weeks. There will be a groundbreaking ceremony on July 14.
• Bryce Davis Master Plan- Reviewing the draft plan
• Underwood Park Master Plan – Reviewing the draft plan
• Wilson Park Hub- construction moving along and Wilson Promenade is open.
