Bird Banding Project at Lake Fayetteville Environmental Study Center: Byron Humphry, Park Maintenance Superintendent. Jennifer Mortensen, PhD Teaching Assistant Professor Department of Biological Sciences will give overview of project. Mortensen discussed the following: • Capture birds in a net • Collect data from bird and the bird is released • Birds are banded and recaptured and additional data is calculated • Fall Migration for Arkansas is Sept — Mid -Oct and Spring Migration is April — Mid -May • Would like to utilize Lake Fayetteville for this project • Would like to begin at the beginning of October PRAB Motion: Dockery moved to approve the Bird Banding Project. Farmer discussed the following: • YRCC's current hours of operation are Monday — Friday 10 am — 7 pm. Facility is underutilized 6 pm — 7pm. Economic • Parks have played an important role during the pandemic, benefitting both mental and physical health. • Three Projects under consideration 1. Underwood Park Sewer 2.
