Apple Seeds Annual Report: Mary Thompson, Executive Director Apple Seeds Thompson discussed the following: • Work with kids in NWA on healthy eating • Packed and delivered food to kids with recipes Utilized YouTube and other Virtual Programming to reach kids Over 9,000 were reached in 2020 5. Eaale Scout Proiect — Alex Sevart TrooD 36: Bvron Humohrv. Park Maintenance Superintendent Eagle Scout Project at Kessler Mountain Regional Park to install a bike repair station and perform trail maintenance. Sevart discussed the following: • Install a bike repair station • Will partner with OORC to help fix the trailhead at Fayetteville Traverse • No funding will be requested of the City • Complete fundraising by May 31s' • Complete project by July 31It PRAB Recommendation: Freund moved to approve the Eagle Scout Project. Sarina Recreation Proaram Updates: Lee Farmer. Recreation Superintendent Farmer discussed the following: • Spring Programming o Youth and Adult Soccer o Fayetteville Tennis o Adult Softball o Outdoor Fayetteville Programs o Summer Camps o Square 2 Square Bike Ride May 1st • Wilson Park Pool to open May 29th — Sept 6th • Gulley Park Concert Series — 25th Anniversary o Thursday Nights 7-9 June 24th — July 291h 9. Strategic Master Plan & Construction Update: Ted Jack, Planning Superintendent Jack discussed the following: • PLD Update Information o Since February, $84,262 in revenue PLD Funds remaining Project Targeted/In Need for PLD funding The board further discussed PLD projects and funding in particular quadrants. • Gulley Park Parking Lot almost completed. • Clabber Creek Trail is getting close to Underwood Park. • Kessler earth work has started for the ballfields • Restroom Renovations are underway • Walker Skateboard Park Lights will be installed soon • Centennial Park work continues and getting close to being complete • YRCC expansion — committees are meeting and planning public meetings in the summer • Square Lights o Vendor Power — outside perimeter of the square o Lighting - Working with Transportation Committee to utilize bond funds to supplement parks funding. Using more discreet lighting. • Strategic Plan o Focus Group Meetings to start in two weeks o This information will be used for survey questions o DesignWorkshop is working on updating base maps 10. Review of HMR Report: Connie Edmonston, Parks & Recreation Director Jack said HMR is down 14.2%. Dockery asked if the department had a contingency plan in place if HMR numbers continue to be low. Freund suggested discussing this topic in May's PRAB meeting. 11.
